He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vanderzee and Christine Vanderzee; and his brother Johnny. He is survived by: his wife Dena; his children, Jon Vanderzee and Amanda Smith (Eric); his grandchildren, Charles and Cannon Smith; and his sisters, Shirley Van Der (Ray), Tootie Van Dyk (Henry), Debbie Van Gessel (Gerald) and Bonnie Peat (John).
