She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Maute and Dorothy Mildred Esser; her husband Gene; her son Norman; and her nephew Daniel Lowe (Danny).
She is survived by: her close friend Ruby; her daughters, Susanne Stenberg (Phillip) of Apollo Beach, Florida and Karen Truxal (Bruce) of Bellevue, Idaho; her grandchildren, Craig Robison (Michelle), Kyle Robison (Kim), Jacob Truxal, Carissa Knebel (Corey) and Sarah Truxal; her great grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew Robison and Tarik Knebel; her niece Jennifer McMartin (Dan); and her sister Elizabeth "Betty" Lowe.
In Caroline's memory, the family asks for donations to be made to Idaho Humane Society in Boise, Idaho.
