He was predeceased by: his close friend Edith Price Scott (Patsy); his parents, George Milton Scott and Naomi Roderick; his siblings, George Milton Scott Jr., Althea Scott Buckley, Ella, Vella Scott, Josephine Pearl Scott May, Larry Scott, Rodney Scott and Laura Scott Bennett; his sons, Daniel Milton Scott (MaryJane) and Tim Lyman Scott; and his grandchildren, Thomas Brandon Scott and Seth Khalil Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy Scott; his sister Lila Scott Moss; and his children, Thomas Khalil Scott (Debra), Bryan Price Scott, John Blaine Scott (Tara) and Sherrie Ruth Ainsworth (Curtis). He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
