He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Mae Hunt Bowcutt and Richard A. Bowcutt; his son Adam R. Bowcutt; and his siblings, Velma Reeder and Merlin Hamson.

He is survived by: his wife Ronna Osiek Bowcutt; his children, Austin Bowcutt and Jodi Smith (Jeff); his granddaughter Jhera Teeter; and his brother Larry Bowcutt (Emile).
