It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Luella Hess (Malad City, Idaho), born in Downey, Idaho, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Byrd Clegg and Eva Nancy Criddle Clegg; and her husband Melvin J. Hess. She is survived by: her children, Cheryle Shepherd (Wayne) of Washington, Wendy Jones (Ed) of Malad, Ronda Crowther (Jared) of Malad and Brad Hess (Wendy) of Malad, Idaho.. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
After Covid hit, she was tired of being locked up and decided to move back to Malad with her daughter Ronda for about 3 years.
