He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Jennings Powell and Isabel Loveland Powell; his former wife Audrey Daugherty; his brother Don; his children, Ed (Linda) of Palmer, AK, Bill (Carol) of Anaheim, CA, Connie (Ron) of Boise, ID and Mike (Tracey) of Boise, ID; and his sister Lila Jean Marvin of Aptos, CA. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
