He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Calvin Dowell and Marguerite Thelma Gray; his wife Wilma Dorlene Dowell; his brother Bill Dowell; his children, Michael Dowell and Kathleen Dowell; his grandson Ryan Ellis; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Dowell.
He is survived by: his brother Gerald L. Dowell of San Diego; his children, Dianna L. Ellis (Barry) of Lewiston and Danny K. Dowell of Lewiston; his grandchildren, Keely Hamilton (Ryan) of Lewiston, Christopher Dowell of Clarkston and Cara Hibbard (Chad) of Lewiston; and his great grandchildren, Reid Hibbard of Lewiston, Easton Hamilton of Lewiston and Hadlei Hamilton of Lewiston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
