He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Olive and Helen Olive (Young); and his former wife Bonnie Olive. He is survived by: his significant other Pauletta Hamilton; his sons, Darryl Olive (Tina), Duane Olive (Colleen) and Doug Olive (Julie); and his sisters, Joanne Chambers (Dale) and Patricia Thompson (Dennis). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
