He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Gilbert and Nancy Etta Gilbert (Franklin); and his siblings, Elsie and Fred. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his daughter Teresa Gilbert (Merrie Fleming) of Clarkston; his grandson Justin Mellick of Clarkston; and his niece Francis of Tennessee.
