He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin P. Hines and Helen M. Hines (Strudel); his wife Penny Hines; and his brothers, Jerry, George and Tom Hines.
He is survived by: his children, Marty (Anna), Staci (Bob) and Darsy (Jon); his brother Rich Hines; his grandchildren, Kraig (Sam) and Caleigh Jo; his great grandchild Langston; and his stepgrandson Brandon. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
