With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Demattia (Lewiston, Idaho), born in Potlatch, Idaho, who passed away on November 29, 2018 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Demattia to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis DeMattia and Maria Santomaso DeMattia; and his siblings, Louisa Beard and Nicholas DeMattia. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Douglas Munson (Jolanda) of Sequim and Linda Munson Covey (Larry) of Carefree, Ariz.; and his grandchildren, Tammy Bringle (Brent) of Tacoma, Jeri Waide Hagen (David) of Clarkston, Sheree Herrmann (Rob) of Cleveland, Jon Waide (Pam) of Menifee, Joelle Mancuso (Joe) of Thousand Oaks and Stephen Munson (Kristine) of Maple Valley, Wash.. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial, and suggest donations in Joe's memory be made to the American Legion's Scholarship program: American Legion Post 13, P.O. Box 683, Lewiston, ID 83501.
