He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Carl Otto and Jennetta Josephine Soyk; his siblings, Martin Soyk Jr. and Vivian Derry; and his former wife Opal Soyk.
He is survived by: his former wife Juanita Weibert; his wife Juanita Soyk; his children, Pamela Thorson (Aaron) and James N. Soyk Jr. (Misty); his stepchildren, Yvette Powers and John Weibert (Shawn); his grandchildren, Jennifer Hamley (Scott), Erik Thorson (Rachel), Kevin Thorson, Daniel Thorson (Jenna), Grace Thorson, Racheal McCormack, James N. Soyk III (Brittney), Stephen Soyk (Ashley), Tyson Imel, Sydnie Weibert and Blade Weibert (Sarah); and his sister Karen Godbey. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
