He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Schmidt and Zita Schmidt; his siblings, Vic and Bernie; and his friend Jaime Seubert.
He is survived by: his children, Brett Schmidt (Krystal), Rachael Schmidt (Lyle), Sharol Marcec (Matt) and Dominic Schmidt; his grandchildren, Donivan, Simon, Sadie, Olivia and Sophia; his siblings, Susie, Collette, Pat, Larry, Mary Jo, Tony, Alice, Kathy, Tim, Greg, Gretta and Ted; and his friends, Jim Lietzke, Kevin Hoene and Paul Swearingen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Idaho Food Bank, as feeding others was one of Gary's favorite things in life.
