She was predeceased by: her parents, Elias Wilson and Helen Hayes; her husband Horace Axtell; her siblings, Delores Lookingglass Wheeler, Edith Lookingglass Strombeck, Nancy Lookingglass Johns, Maxine Wilson Allen, Jackie Wilson, Glen Wilson, David Lookingglass Jr. and Gilbert Lookingglass; her adoptive daughter Margo Aragon-Harrington; and her great grandchildren, Ambrose Smartlowit and Nevelle James.
She is survived by: her friend Ore; her children, Chuckie Axtell (June), Purnell Axtell (Marilyn), Kay, Jean Bohnee (Benjamin), Liz Bohnee, Brenda Axtell and Steve Axtell (Gabrielle); and her grandson Bret Benally-Thompson. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
