With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steve Pankey (Kooskia, Idaho), born in Kamiah, Idaho, who passed away on August 10, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Steve may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gray Pankey and Eugenia Pankey; his former wife Mary Parsell Pankey; his daughter Mary Michelle Pankey; his brother Gene Pankey; and his stepfather Bill Slasor.
He is survived by: his wife Susie of Pankey's Foods; his daughter Julieann Pankey Mamula (Tyler); his grandsons, Gabriel Kirish and Jaxon Mamula; and his siblings, Jim Pankey (Cherlyn) and Lynda Swinehart (Leon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
