He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Olsen and Dorothy Olsen; his brother Keith Olsen; his stepfather Shem Sayer; and his friends, Charlie Anderson and Swede Swenson.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Malcomson; his children, Lisa Olsen and Mark Olsen; his sisters, Sherry Green and Shirlyn Mathison; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Anderson and Mary Swenson. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
