He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oatman and Jane Allen Oatman; his sons, Wilber and Ronald C. Oatman; his grandchildren, James R. Oatman, Jr., Roni A. Brisbois and Pauline Walker Hoptowit; and his siblings, Lillian Oatman Major, Beatrice Oatman Miles, Loda Oatman Sublett, Charlie Oatman, Everett Oatman, Sr., Marcus Oatman, Sr. and Cecil Oatman.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Oatman of Kamiah; and his children, Jennifer Oatman of Kamiah, Paula Moody (A. Moody) of Culdesac, Linda Walker of Kamiah and James R. Oatman (Teresa Oatman) of Kamiah.
