He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Bruce; his brothers-in-law, George and Darold; his parents, Harold Brown and Julia Brown; his siblings, Louise Laughton, Pat Burcham, David, Grace Brown, Marilyn and Vaughn Duffield; and his half-sister Hazel Mayo. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
