He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Cook and Carrie Cook (Covert); his wife Shirley Ann Cook (Condrey); his sons, Timothy Cook and Eddie Cook; his grandsons, Kyle Summers and Zachary Cook; and his horse Smokey.

He is survived by: his children, Dave Cook of Lewiston, Margaret Bostick of Pullallup, Wash and Janice Daniels (Nancy Cook) of Lewiston; and his siblings, Georgia Brotnov, Lloyd Cook, Bill Cook, Mary Loomis and Kathy Grinolds. He is also survived by 12 grandkids.
