He was predeceased by: his parents, Clebern Shafer and Barbara Jean Shafer (Shiplett); his brother Donnie Shafer; and his niece Tammie Shafer. He is survived by: his wife Rena Shafer; and his children, Rhonda, Sherena, Sharla, Alisha, Roni and Michael. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
