He was predeceased by: his parents, Corbett Humphries and Sally Leo Humphries; and his wife Tal Kun Yu. He is survived by: his children, Sony Barber of College Station, Texas and Tony Humphries of Sanford, Florida. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
