It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert McCully of Jerome, Idaho, born in Lamesa, Texas, who passed away on August 1, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma McCully and Herbert Herman McCully; and his brothers, Terry Wayne McCully, Gary Lee Sanner and Tom Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Verdella "Margaret" Burgdorf; his children, Tom (Wendy) and Theresa; his grandchildren, Thomas, Jordan (Sara) and Jenna; his brother Lonnie Eugene McCully; his sister-in-law Pam Mason; his nephew Cody Mason (Melissa); and his great-niece Elena. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, horses and pets.
Taking care of someone with Alzheimer's is not an easy task and one that Margaret and family did very well, keeping him at home for the entire time.
