With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David K. Smith (Jerome, Idaho), born in Malad City, Idaho, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2024 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Maeser Smith and Retha Mae Dukes Smith; his sisters, Kathleen Harding and Cherie Blaisdell Malan; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Harding and Nolan Blaisdell.
He is survived by: his wife Nadean Whitaker Smith; his children, Karl (Pam) and Dericx Smith (Candi); his grandchildren, Kyra Germann (Bradley) and Kaycie Keller (Cody); his children, Taylor Smith (Lexi), Brecx, Regan and Randi Smith; his great grandchildren, Cooper, Boone Keller, Brooklyn Germann, Taygan and Zayden Smith; and his siblings, Ramona Hughes (Neal) of Samaria, Idaho, Kent Smith (Pat) of Holbrook, Idaho and Lisa Hummel of Malad City. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Viewing was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jerome LDS 2nd Ward Chapel (50 E 100 S, Jerome, ID 83338). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
