He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold B. Malone and Olga P. Malone; and his brother Delmar. He is survived by: his former wife Josephine Adella Simon; his wife Joyce Goetz; his children, Cynthia Davis (Rod), Sharon Malone Buckle, Debbie Reinke (Doug), Tammy Roberts and Tim Malone (Lisa); his brother Ron Malone (Kay); his grandchildren, Ingrid Robbins (Travis), Ben Dingman, David Reinke (Stefanie), Nick Roberts, Katy Reynolds (Ryan) and Eric Roberts; his great grandchildren, Emily Dring (Joshua), Scot King (Beth), Savanah Wolters, Kaleb Wolters, Kason, Griffin, Emerson Reinke, Campbell and Brecken Reynolds; and his great great grandchildren, Sophie, McKenrie, Vanden Dring, Simon and Archie King. He is also survived by six stepdaughters.
