He is survived by: his parents, George Arthur Rice and Shirley Mae MacRae; his former spouse Nileen Bowls; his wife Linda Stanger Rice (Temple); his children, Jay Rice, David Rice (Mesha), AnnaMaria Rice, Kathaleen Rice (Gary Bateman), John Rice (Katie), James Rice (Brittney), Irene Rice (Scott Hendersen), Lindy Sommer (Chandler), Alan Rice, Coleter Rice (Mesa) and Garrett Rice; and his siblings, Starla Pyper (Mel), Robin Herbst (Lynn), Chloe McNabb (Richard), Heather Saxton (Jeff), Kevin Rice (Tammy) and Rock Rice (Frances). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
