He was predeceased by: his parents, Hjalmar Carlson and Ellen Carlson (Erickson); his wife Rita Carlson; and his siblings, Viola Russell of Roberts, ID, Bertal Carlson of Idaho Falls, ID and Inez Roth of Idaho Falls, ID.

He is survived by: his daughters, Holly Carlson of Boise, ID and Heidi B. Carlson; his granddaughter Sara Rankin of Boise, ID; and his great grandchild Zoe Rankin of Boise, ID.
