Dustin Rascone Young Obituary
Dustin Rascone Young passed away on August 21, 2024, at the age of 55 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Born on April 14, 1969, in Bellflower, California, Dustin was known for his kind, sweet, proud, and stubborn personality.
Dustin embarked on a fulfilling career, first as an accomplished bull rider, then as an independent Contractor/Carpenter, later working as a Construction Manager at B&B Builders, and Construction Manager and Inspector for Horrocks Engineers. His early education was at Stoddard Elementary and Blackfoot High School, followed by further studies at Central Wyoming College.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Dustin was passionate about his hobbies. As a former bull rider, he continued to nurture his love for rodeo by raising and competing with bucking bulls along with his brother, Jimmy, and friends. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to appreciate the outdoors.
Dustin is survived by his beloved wife, Georgia Young; his mother, Carol Young; his brother, Jimmy Young; sisters, Trina Krause, Debbie Maxwell, Teri Sorensen, Beckie McQuade, and Valerie Schneider; father-in-law, Phil Helgerson; mother-in-law, Carole Helgerson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and members of his extended rodeo family. He was preceded in death by his father, Avon Young.
A Tribute to Dustin will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road in Ammon, Idaho. A Celebration and Gathering will immediately follow at The Barn on 1st, 3934 – 1st Street in Ammon, Idaho.
