He was predeceased by: his son Wade Lamont Stears; and his brother Van Stears. He is survived by: his wife Linda Stears of Idaho Falls, ID; his children, Kristie Fullmer (Merrill) of Idaho Falls, ID and Lance Stears; and his siblings, DeLen Thomas Stears of Sandy, UT and Della Marie Goody of Idaho Falls, ID. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
