He is survived by: his mother Reba Fitzpatrick Higley of Hansen; his wife Karen Wageman Thurston; his son Travis Hanchey; his sibling Falls; his stepchildren, Michelle Gallegos (Curt) of Boise, Jody Thurston of Boise and Emily Dimond (Jason) of Burley; and his brothers, Dwight Higley (Karla) of Heyburn and Mark Higley of Rupert. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
