He is survived by: his children, Valerie Brown (Rick) of Paradise, TX, Deborah Shanks (Jeff) of Coeur d' Alene, ID, David Shanks of Boise, ID, Jason Shanks (Carrie) of Boise, ID and Kevin Shanks of Kingston. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
