He was predeceased by: his parents, Lanora Christina Jensen Cummins and Aubrey Cummins; his fathers-in-law, Jim Perkins and Jack Nefzger; his sister-in-law Judy Cummins; and his great-niece Isabelle Cummins.
He is survived by: his children, Brooke (Troy Rovig), Grant (Leah), Nick (Tobee), Logan (Linda) and Nathan (Crystal); his wife Deborah June Perkins Cummins; and his brothers, Terry (Sue), Allen (Sandra) and Daniel (Carla). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

In December 2013, Mark received the devastating diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer's disease.
