She was predeceased by: her parents, DeMoin Gilchrist and Dora Gilchrist; her husband Gerald McCaffery; her daughter Janice Goodman; and her brothers, DeMoine Jr., Robert and Gerald Gilchrist.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Colleen; her grandchildren, Janelle Carlson, Jeff Carlson (Megan), Kelly McCaffery, Kimber Hunter (Tyler) and Kasey Griffith; and her great grandchildren, Michael Ervin, Maleke McCaffery, Kobe, Eli Hunter, Piper, Oliver Griffith, Mac, Ryder Carlson, Darius and Daeja Carlson.
She moved to the South Hill Village in order to be closer to her son Mike's family and moved into their home in July 2020 due to the pandemic.
