He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Theodore and Myrtle Alfina Sundquist Berggren; his former wives, Doris Mae Casper and Elva Wadleigh Springer; and his brother Paul Berggren.

He is survived by: his wife Jerri Berggren of Firth; and his children, David Eugene Berggren (Angie) of Firth, Steven Glen Berggren (Vicky) of Blackfoot and Sharyn Yvonne Beasley (Curtis) of Kennewick, WA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
