Chace Mclellan wrote a sympathy message

“Bill was probably the most influential person in my life. I know that may seem odd to some . Under all the sarcasm bill was a great man. Bill was my dad for 6 years. I was young. But he showed me how to treat people. How to laugh and how to catch a fly ball. And at this point in the world Those are really good things to know. Although it’s been a while since I’ve needed to catch a fly ball. He taught me a lot more as well but those things jump out now. I loved him and will never forget him.”
