It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benito Ortiz of Filer, Idaho, born in Kennewick, Washington, who passed away on October 13, 2022, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Vicente, Alberta Niño, Benito and Luz Ortiz; and his nephews, Eugenio Jr., Devon and Dominique Moreno.
He is survived by: his parents, Gregorio Ortiz (Martha) and Veronica Caliz (Sergio); his son Josiah Ortiz; his siblings, Cristina Perez (Jose), Rosalinda Moreno, Patricia Bowler (Leif), Isabel Ortiz, Eugenio Moreno (Sharmane), Steve Moreno, Hunverto Ortiz (Norma), Andres Ortiz, Gael Ortiz and Angel Ortiz; and his cousin Benny. He is also survived by his twenty nieces and nephews.
