Eldon L. Lockett Obituary
FERDINAND: Eldon L. Lockett, 64 of Ferdinand passed away Tuesday at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1940 at Owyhee, Oregon the eldest son of Del and Sylvia Crist Lockett. He spent many years in the logging business in Oregon and Idaho and he mined in Alaska. He also built his own log cabin in Elk City. He married Mary Evelyn Wynn and they were later divorced.
He loved spending time in the outdoors and fishing in Alaska. He is survived by two daughters, Sheryl and her husband Ron Raddas of Yakima, Washington and Kimberly and her husband Butch Louis of Oroville, California, his long time companion of 23 years Geraldine Keller of Ferdinand, his brothers Gene Lockett of Medford, Oregon and Jerry Lockett of Cottonwood, Idaho his sister Charlotte Glessner of Port Orchard, Washington, five grandchildren, Jesse Louis, Chereen Louis, Annie Louis, Alex Raddas, and Kelsie Pottenger, and one great granddaughter Akilah Louis and nine nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Friday, April 22, 2005 from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Blackmer Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Gott of the Grangeville Christian Church officiating. Inurnment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery, Grangeville.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Syringa General Hospital Hospice in Grangeville.
