He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude T. Whitney and Mildred L. Whitney; his brother Loren (Patricia); his son Richard M. Whitney; and his great grandchild Dylan Haigler.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughter-in-law Martha Whitney (Susie) of Emmett; his granddaughter Jackie M. Hills (Dan) of Nampa, Idaho.; and his great grandchildren, Kaila, Bailee, Rylee, Allison and Shelby.
