He was predeceased by: his mother Sheila Monica Bideshi (Suva). He is survived by: his wife Gina L. Gossman; his daughters, Shivana M. Lightman and Prianka N. Maharaj; his grandson Silas M. Lightman; his pet Ezekiel Gossman-Maharaj (Zeke); his father Michael Mahesh Maharaj; and his daughter Jennifer McFarland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that Michael felt strongly about.
