He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Upshaw and Ruby Viola Upshaw. He is survived by: his wife Norah Idella Jones; and his children, Joyce Jolene Young, Ralph Dwaine Upshaw (Robyn) and Ernest Dale Upshaw (Brooke). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
