He was predeceased by: his parents, James John Layton and Maria Christina Housley; his significant other Dorothy Ruth Jennings Layton; his daughter-in-law Shawntell Olson Layton; and his great great grandchild Oliver Graysin Peck.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Sharp (Dean) of Rexburg, ID, Wayne Layton (Larett) of Glendale, AZ, Brent Layton of Rigby, ID, Karen Lish (Gordon) of Inkom, ID, Lisa Petersen (Edward) of Mackay, ID, Annette Fullmer (Ron) of Rexburg, ID and Kevin Layton (Heather) of Idaho Falls, ID. He is also survived by 40 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Some of such were a School Bus driver, Ririe Creamery, for various farmers in the Ririe area, Joe Parkinson Farm, KID/KIDK, Lincoln Elementary School Custodian in the Madison School District.
