He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfield Hurst and Arvella Thorne; his wife Joy Richins; his siblings, Leona Anderson, Leo, Harold, Floyd, Arvel, Arlene Cheever, Vernal, Archie, Earl and LaMar; and his son-in-law John Firth.
He is survived by: his son Winfield; his sister Belva Henscheid; and his children, Terril (Mary), Carolyn Firth (John), Wayne (Sherrie), Kelly (Denise), Linda Yates (Doug), Scott (Brenda) and Sherry Larsen (Steve). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; and his 39 great-grandchildren.
