It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba RaNae Bodily (Declo, Idaho), who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Melba departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Melba. Though Melba may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Bennett Anderson and Ruth Burton Anderson; her husband James Blayne Bodily; her brothers, Bennett Anderson, Burton Anderson and Harold Anderson; and her son-in-law James Parton.
She is survived by: her sisters, Margaret Henstra and Connie Shipp. She is also survived by her 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Raft River Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (2551 E 300 Rd S, Declo, ID 83323). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
