He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Sand and Utahna Bratche; his stepfather Conrad Bratche; and his siblings, Louise Shelson, Delores Sand and Bernard Harwood.
He is survived by: his wife Bea Harwood; his sons, Douglas Harwood and Tom Harwood; his grandson Sam Harwood; his brothers, Ron Harwood (Donna) of Hayden and Ray Anderson (Eleanor) of Seaside, Oregon; his sister-in-law Lori Mechan (Bruce) of Palm Desert, California; and his cousins, Darrell Sand and Benny Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
