He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Peterson and Mary Peterson; and his siblings, Wendell, Lee Peterson and Marion Hudson.

He is survived by: his former spouse Jody Wiley; his wife Pamela Wahl; his siblings, Allen, Mike Peterson and Gloria Gardner; and his children, David, Kody Peterson, Jeena Rooney and Kimber Peterson. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
