Eugene Reid Soper Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Reid Soper (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho), who passed away on March 22, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Eugene Reid may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Eugene Reid touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reid Soper and Blanche Soper (Watson); and his significant other Helen Branson. He is survived by: his children, Steve Soper (Genny) of Rathdrum, ID, Ken Soper (Klara) of Ferndale, WA and Carrie Nylund (Jon) of Sagle, ID. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Coeur (2186 W Soper Ave, Hayden, ID 83835).
His family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Eugene R. Soper Scholarship endowment that he established at North Idaho College.
