He was predeceased by: his parents, Lydia Munsch and Louis H. Dethloff; and his siblings, John, Edwin, Margaret, George, Reuben, Alice and Anna.
He is survived by: his sister Esther; his former spouse Gayle Bauer; his stepchildren, Donald James Dethloff, Jr. and Becky Jo Renfrew; his grandchildren, Becky, Kyle and Gage; his wife Sharon; his stepchildren, Jon, Damon and Shane; and his stepgrandchildren, Hayden, Ryan, Sarena, Shaner, Andrew and James.
