He was predeceased by: his parents, Bart Nelson and Helen Nelson; and his sisters, Elizabeth and Barbara. He is survived by: his siblings, Helen Nelson, Ben (Tina), Charles, Mary Anne and John; his sons, Jason, Mark (RayAnn) and Todd Nelson; his granddaughter Carsyn Cheatham Carter; and his stepson Travis Carter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
