With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jackie Sue Cranor (Chubbuck, Idaho), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jackie Sue left this world on July 20, 2024 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Mary Heckert and Arthur LeRoy Heckert; and her siblings, Dee, Carol and Tamara [Leighton].
She is survived by: her brother Randy; her husband Glen Cranor; and her children, Bud (Erin), Jared, Amber Moon (Jeff) and Elizabeth Davenport (Jeff). She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
During her time on the School Board she helped the district navigate numerous difficult situations including major statewide cutbacks in educational funding, boundary changes for the city's high schools, the COVID pandemic, and the name change for her alma mater, Pocatello High School.
While on the school board, Jackie also served as board member of the Education Foundation, Head Start Committee, the District Curriculum Committee, the Capital Improvement Committee and the Key Communicators Committee.
