He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Vernon Strom and Geraldine "Jerry" Collins Strom. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Strom of Ammon, ID; his children, Kelli Eddy (David) of Ucon, ID, Cori Lawson (Craig) of Idaho Falls, ID, Shaunie Bean (Calvin) of Idaho Falls, ID, Robert Waid of Idaho Falls, ID and Cathy Skelton of Idaho Falls, ID; and his sister Brenda Rhoades (Dave). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
