She was loved and cherished by many people including: her brother Ray; her spouse James Rudolph Whitman; her daughters, Diana (late Freeland) and Nancy (Waren); her grandchildren, Chet (Debbie), Cheryl (Will), David (Rosa) and Kathy; and her great grandchildren, Audrey, Hayley, Heather, Heath, Shirin and Jaffar. She was also cherished by her two daughters, and a role model for parents, grandparents.
